What is the mortgage for?
An indicative figure in 1 minute
How it works for mortgages
- 1They come to find out what they could borrowIt is the question they are already searching for, and the one nobody answers without taking their number first. Here the answer comes first.
- 2Income, deposit and employmentThe three facts a bank decides on. The calculator estimates over 30 years at 35% of income, and says on the same screen that the bank decides on the real profile.
- 3No savings, honest endingAnyone answering that they have nothing saved gets a clear explanation and an invitation to come back, not a sales call. It saves your hour and their disappointment.
What the mortgage quiz asks
These are the questions in the ready-made template. You can change every one of them.
- 1What is the mortgage for?
- 2How much have you saved for the deposit?
- 3What is your employment situation?
Mortgage FAQ
- Is it wise to give a figure before the case is worked?
- The figure is indicative and the screen says so: 30 years, 35% of income, and the bank's final decision on the real profile. It does not replace the case; it means whoever sits down to do one arrives with expectations in the same order of magnitude as reality.
- Why turn away someone with no deposit — they could save?
- They are not turned away; they are told the truth today and invited back when they have it. An honest ending keeps that client for next year; an hour of paperwork ending in a refusal loses them for good.
- What questions should a mortgage quiz have?
- Purpose, net household income, savings for the deposit, employment status and timing. The first four already tell you whether there is a case, before you ask for a single payslip.
- Is asking for income compliant with data protection?
- It asks approximate amounts with nobody identified until the final step, which is exactly what data minimisation calls for. The genuinely sensitive material — payslips, employment history — comes later, inside the case and with consent.
- Do I pay per response?
- No. Leads are unlimited on every plan, including the free one. You pay a flat monthly fee, never per answer.
